Onboarding

Start here

This page is a simple guide to working together. It reduces back-and-forth, sets expectations early, and helps me match your preferences faster.

How we work together

  1. Send what you have
No need to over-format. A PPTX is great, but a doc, outline, screenshots, PDF, or even a quick brain-dump works.
  2. I deliver a first pass quickly
I start with a small, reviewable batch so you can react early. That keeps the project aligned and avoids surprises.
  3. You review and guide (or delegate)
Share feedback in whatever format is easiest. If you are busy, you can also tell me to take the lead and I will make judgment calls.
  4. Polish, finalize, and invoicing
Once you approve the work, I send the invoice and deliver the final files. If a project goes on pause for any reason, I may invoice for completed work to date. If the project resumes later, the remaining work is invoiced upon approval at the end.

What to send (to start fast)

  • The goal of the deck (what should the audience understand or decide?)
  • Audience and context (exec update, board prep, QBR, keynote, internal alignment)
  • Any deadline or meeting date (even if it is flexible)
  • Your source materials (PPTX, docs, notes, spreadsheets, screenshots)
  • Brand guidelines, templates, or a reference deck (if available)
Accepted input formats
PPTX, Google Slides, Word docs, PDFs, emails, spreadsheets, screenshots, scripts, and rough notes are all fine. If you are pressed for time, a short brain-dump is enough to begin.

Preferences and style

Presentation design is subjective. The fastest way to reduce guesswork is to clarify what “good” looks like for you.

  • Do you prefer minimal slides or more visual slides?
  • Photos vs illustrations vs icons/shapes only?
  • Light theme vs dark theme?
  • More animation or mostly static?
  • Any hard no’s (styles, imagery, AI usage preferences, brand constraints)?
If you are not sure
That is normal. I can propose a couple of directions and we pick what fits. Over time, I will learn your preferences and keep things consistent.

Feedback and workflow

  • PowerPoint comments are ideal when possible.
  • If you like to sketch feedback, PowerPoint’s Freeform: Scribble (Insert → Shapes) works well.
  • Email or chat feedback is fine too. Consolidated feedback helps the fastest.
Animation note
I usually add animation toward the end unless you want to see it earlier. If you prefer no animation, just tell me and I will keep everything static.

Good to know

  • Typical turnaround is 1–2 weeks (capacity-dependent).
  • Retainer clients have priority, no rush fees, client portal access, and faster turnaround available depending on queue and scope.
  • Rush requests needed in under ~3 business days, on weekends, or outside regular hours may be billed at +50%. I will confirm before starting.
  • Confidentiality is standard. NDA-friendly if needed.
  • Purposeful animation included by default.
  • PowerPoint is the primary workflow, but I can adapt to Google Slides, Keynote, SharePoint, or your team’s tools.
  • Company card is welcome. Debit/credit card payments processed through PayPal (link: https://paypal.me/aecel). Bank transfer payments processed through Wise (preferred) (link: https://wise.com/pay/me/aecela).
Billing timing
Invoices are sent after approval of delivered work. If a project pauses, I may invoice for completed work to date so billing stays clean and predictable. If the project resumes later, the remaining scope is invoiced after final approval.

What you can do in the client portal if you have access

  • File management (upload/download)
  • Comment/annotate on files
  • Approve files
  • Invite other people
  • etc
  • Please note that the preview is missing some elements and doesn't match what you see in PowerPoint, so the file needs to be downloaded first, and then opened.

Aftercare

  • Small tweaks and updates are welcome after delivery.
  • If you have any feedback on my work or want to share how the presentation went, I would genuinely love to hear it. I always enjoy knowing how things turned out and whether the design helped make a positive impact.
  • If you know anyone who might need similar support, it would mean a lot if you would consider passing my name along.

Ready when you are

If you already have a deck, send it. If you do not, send a quick summary of the goal and audience and I will guide the next step.
